Oakland: Apprenticeship

The apprenticeship year will be a year of discovering your missionary calling and who you are in Christ. A InnerChange mentor will walk alongside you in this process. As a part of the Oakland team, you will be a part of our rhythm of prayer and learning. You will be developing friendships and partnering with people in different communities. You will be ministering to at-risk youth alongside the team. You will also have a time of discernment at the end of your year. Part of the apprenticeship year may include working a part-time job (20 hours a week).

Requirements
Open to working with Evangelicals and Catholics, willing to dialogue and work through conflict in community and on team, self-starter, motivated to become bilingual in English / Spanish, willing to immerse in multiple cultures, passionate about Jesus, person of prayer, passion to find and empower local leaders and to work with at-risk youth, joyful, humble and willing to learn

Preferences
Administrative gifting, some level of Spanish, risk taker, hospitality gift, networker

Responsibilities
To discover your calling with the help of the team and community and find out who you are in Christ. To learn from the local community and to walk alongside the team assisting in daily work and joining in our InnerChange rhythms. To maintain a personal prayer life and grow in intimacy with God. To pursue relationships with at risk youth in Oakland. To look for and empower local leaders in East Oakland.
